2007 was a great year for our Lean initiative

Eddie Gorman, Group Operations Manager, concludes that 2007 was the best year yet for our Lean initiative with new green and black belts being trained and several Lean projects completed. In our end of year Lean report Eddie concludes that ....
"SerCom Solutions is now into year two of it’s global lean manufacturing program and we are successfully utilising the program as a performance improvement tool that enhances quality, cost, delivery and people performance.
The following outlines the achievements of our lean manufacturing for 2007:
- 5S Facilitator Training Course took place with 15 personnel
- A 5S workshop was rolled out to all personnel
- 12 green belt level lean engineers trained
- 12 lean projects completed
- Black belt training in progress
- Lean Roadmap established for 2008
The year ahead will see continued focus on the promotion of Lean culture through facilitation of Lean projects & workshops driven by the SerCom lean team"
