Known as the “Biggest Little City in the World” and with a population of over 211,000, Reno is the largest city in Northern Nevada . It is located in the southern part of Washoe County in an area called the Truckee Meadows.
SerCom in conjunction with Ceva Logistics have gone into live production of pre-assemblies for a joint customer in the Patrick region of Reno , our 1st live shipments commenced on the 19th of April. Our solution reduces finished goods inventory holding requirement and providing a 15 minute delivery from receipt of call-off.
Overall we have delivered the following key value-added activities as part of deploying an efficient and robust solution on behalf of our client:
- Management of all operations directly on our SAP system
- Material inbound management through a trailer pull system based on required levels of raw material
- Shop floor controls in place to manage production requirements
- Quality controls throughout the process from material receipt to finished goods shipments
- Electronic call-off receipt and delivery conformation
- Customised reporting
The program was jointly implemented and operational within a two week period and demonstrated SerCom’s continued expertise in solutions deployment on a global basis.
