2009 IMD Executive Class visits SerCom Solutions
February 2009 In recent years, the prestigious MBA Executive class of IMD, Switzerland have visited Ireland for a practical assessment of how the Irish economic model functions.
In the past, the focus has been on how Ireland achieved the excellent growth rates recorded during the “Celtic Tiger” era, but the focus is now on how Ireland will fare in more challenging current and future economic times.
The IMD class had a hectic schedule, which involved meeting Government Ministers, Economists, IDA, and Enterprise Ireland. The class visited multinational companies with EMEA headquarters in Ireland, as well as some indigenous companies who trade globally.
SerCom Solutions was one of the indigenous companies that the Group visited. A very lively discussion took place between nine group members and Kevin Henry, CEO of SerCom. There was particular interest in SerCom’s three year planning process, and the development plans therein covering China, Central & Eastern Europe and Mexico. The debate was enhanced by the diverse nationalities of the group, with class members from France, Spain, Russia, Switzerland, Germany, Denmark and the USA.
SerCom Solutions enjoyed hosting the group, and wish them every success in the second field trip, to Romania.
