Customer Solutions Overview
In today's competitive marketplace, it's not enough to just have a great product. Companies must be able to deliver their products to a diverse global marketplace more cheaply, and with better service levels, than their competitors. The efficiency of a company's supply chain is a critical success factor. SerCom Solutions, as illustrated in our wide variety of case studies, plays a strategic role in the success of many companies, across a broad range of industries, as their outsourcing partner. We have helped these clients address deficiencies in their supply chains through the engagement of SerComs capabilities in some or all of the following: sourcing, procurement, product finalisation and end customer fulfilment.
Our business is fundamentally client driven - this attitude prevails throughout our organisation and has resulted in sustained success for both our customers and ourselves. The senior management team is actively engaged in the day-to-day business. Our decision making process is speedy and this enables us to respond immediately to client needs. While we have many large corporations on our client list, we have also worked very successfully with small and medium sized businesses that chose to immediately leverage our nimble infrastructure rather than invest time and money on building their own internal capability.
SerCom Solutions has the infrastructure in place to allow our customers leverage the benefits of low cost sourcing while eliminating potential risks. We have skilled and experienced personnel positioned in strategic locations to source a broad, and ever expanding, range of commodities and finished goods from local and international suppliers. Our sophisticated IT systems have allowed suppliers and customers react to real time supply chain activity. Our customers have gained significant cost advantage from leveraging our extensive capabilities - without compromising on quality or delivery performance.
We recognise that each customer has their own unique characteristics and priorities on key supply chain areas - product lifecycles, inventory goals, difficult IT systems, end customer response times, and design-driven component lead times - these characteristics must be at the core of our solution. We work with customers to design a customised model that supports the dynamics of their particular business. Our model focuses on the information, physical and financial flows that drive the customer's supply chain. The availability and frequency of demand information, along with required service levels, allow us to define the inventory rules (locations, levels and replenishment algorithms) necessary to support their end customers. The objective of this dynamic model is to ensure that the right inventory is available when and where it is needed.
SerCom and its suppliers actively respond to changes in customer demand on a day-to-day basis. Metrics are used to review the effectiveness of the customer model and changes are proposed and agreed at regular customer reviews. SerCom's ability to focus on its customers' businesses and our role in their success has been proven by the longevity of many of our customer relationships.
