Additionally, we have the capability to establish reliable, cost effective supply chains for new commodities and indeed for existing commodities in new locations. Our background as a printer equips us with extensive expertise in print and packaging technologies. We understand the cost drivers in these commodities and the nuances in standards and specifications around the world. We currently source print and packaging for use in a variety of end markets, from documentation for IT equipment to Marcom materials.

SerCom Solutions has developed extensive commodity knowledge through its deep business roots in the IT sector. These commodities include media, data cables, power cords, enclosures, storage devices, power supplies, batteries, labels, badges, screws and GPS products. In this sector we have worked in a variety of supplier management scenarios from sourcing with full ownership (SerCom Owned), to management of supply from a customer directed supplier, to complete ownership from design to delivery of own brand products.

Our expansion into other business sectors has allowed us to develop strong capabilities in a number of other commodities. We have established reliable, competitive sources for construction materials (e.g. hand tools and insulation), gas appliances such as patio heaters, and furniture for the Hardware Store/DIY market. Potential suppliers are visited by SerCom Solutions' personnel to establish quality and business capability. They will then undergo a rigorous qualification process prior to the commencement of business. Their products are tested to rigorous safety and performance standards before getting the SerCom Solutions Seal of Approval.
